Civic Engagement Hall focuses on the active contribution of the civic on various discussions. Everyone will be able to contribute to each discussion or add another discussion topic to the program in the Discussion Building. To support the discussions and creating an impact in the city, a Workshop and a Library Building designed.
The square of the project is designed to serve as an event, installation, temporary exhibition area. The site is designed to lead users to the square, people can interact with the square by following the stairs or the bridge. The functions of each building are strongly connected to each other and the square is the key element in the project.
Level differences and curves of the Discussion Building are created to provide a representation of the loop to represent the idea of equality and a continuous loop of the improvement process. Furthermore, the Discussion Buildings circular form enhance people to contribute to various discussions. Gallery space provides a clear source of light for the users and reveals the fluidity of the spatial organization. Also, the discussions can be carried to open spaces by the pivot doors on the side of the park. On the lowest level, there is an auditorium that is directly accessed by the main axis from the square. Upper levels of the buildings contain offices for further developments of the ideas, terraces, and administrative spaces.
Workshop building contains maker labs, idea sharing spaces, and creation volumes which are strongly connected to the square for installations, exhibitions, and events.
The library building is designed to provide a public space to offer a deeper, richer way to obtain knowledge and information. Gallery areas provide light for the interior spaces. Also, in the entrance from the square, there is a wide stair which also can be used for events and working area.
