The Technology Center complex is designed to be a regional hub for innovative research and studies, oversee the country’s digital transformation and provide assistance to businesses as they prepare for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
When we look at the Industrial Revolution periods, we see that the first industrial revolution is the mechanization of production, the second industrial revolution is the serialization of production, and the third industrial revolution is the automation of production. As a result of the productivity and successful application examples which are provided by new technologies provided by today's Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) can solve some of the problems in production, which means the fourth revolution(Industry 4.0). Industry 4.0 is that cyber-physical systems will communicate with one another using the Internet of Things. With the birth of the Internet, the speed of technological developments are increasing dramatically. So it’s hard to follow new technologies.
A solution for this problem is establishing a "Tech Center" which includes auditorium, seminar rooms, foyer, exhibition area, workshop and discussion areas, cafe and restaurant, library, offices and city council. It will be a place where people can freely voice their opinions and then discuss those ideas at large meetings. In the end, there will be a system in which implementations will be carried out on a decision that people want and a common conclusion is reached.
The aims of this tech center are; engaging people in this digitalisation process, to experiment with these emerging scenarios to better comprehend them, deconstructing the potential uses of technologies in order to make them accessible to everyone, to make self-empowered citizenship. and discussing the the problems which are going to show-off in the future and ecological and innovative approaches are going to discuss by the public and experts.
